Massage Oil Recipe

Most of the massage oil recipe use different types of vegetable oil extracts. Some massage oil recipes also include fruit extracts and essential oils. The massage oil should be selected according to the type of oil, which one prefers to use. One can go for light oils if one wants it to be absorbed quickly in skin. One can also use heavier oils if one wants it to stay on the skin to give moisture.

The selection of the massage oil recipe can be dependent on the part of the body one needs to apply. The lighter Kukui nut oil would be perfect for applying on the neck and face. The heavier oils such as the Sweet almond would be appropriate for foot message.

The basic massage oil recipes include:

Sweet Almond Oil: The sweet almond oil is heavier and is good for heavy massage or for moisturizing the skin. It is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and some amount of Vitamin E and effective in protecting and nourishing the skin.

Apricot Kernel Oil: This medium-light weight oil is suitable for massage and good for all types of skin and helps in premature ageing. Rich in minerals and vitamins, it is best for the sensitive and dry skin.

Avocado Oil: It is a sort of Medium-heavy weight oil which is rich in vitamins A, B, D and also some amount of Lecithin which is suitable for massage. This oil penetrates deep inside the skin and is very good on dry skin and in solving the wrinkle problems.

Hazelnut Oil: This Medium weight oil is the perfect base for the oil based creams and suitable for light massage. It penetrates on the top layer of the skin and is good for oily or combination skin types and useful on acne. As it contains oleic acid and a little amount of linoleum acid it acts like an astringent and stimulates the circulation.

Olive Oil: This heavy weight oil is suitable for heavy massage and works wonderfully to soothe the inflamed skin.

Kukui Nut Oil: A wonderful light to medium weight oil suitable for the light massages of the face and shoulder and neck. Kukui nut oil readily absorbs into the skin leaving the skin soft and moisturized and is effective for mature, aging skin.

Macadamia Nut Oil: This Medium weight oil is highly emollient and suitable for massage. When applied to the skin it makes the sense of good feeling.

The right selection of massage oil recipes can be effective in getting the best results while going for a refreshing and stimulating massage.
