The pure and natural essential oils are truly a magnificent contribution of nature to be used in daily life and these oils can be used by anyone with remarkable effect in host of approaches. Use of essential oils is what makes aromatherapy oils more popular today.

The essential oil use chart below is a summary of what can be done with esential oils and how they can be used.

Bath – Essential oils are very effective to be used while having bath, either in single form or blended. They may be used to calm, relax, and rejuvenate the body and the mind. The warm bath with few drops of the essential oils will tantalize the senses with the aroma while breathing deeply.

Hair care- It helps in the improvement of the quality of the hair. Just a few drops of essential oil after the final rinse or in the mild shampoo can enhance the volume of hair and the lustre. It can also be added to the nourishing base like the olive oil with sweet almond or the jojoba and massaged into the scalp. The essential oils are very effective on the lice and fleas.

Shower- A few drops of the essential oils can be mixed with base oil and soaked in tissue cloth or sponge and rubbed all over the body under the warm jet showers inhaling the aromatic steam to benefit from the aromatherapy.

Foot bath- Tired feet can be refreshed by soaking them in a bowl of warm water with essential oils for 20 minutes and finishing with a foot lotion having essential oils.

Sauna- The essential oils can be used in the sauna for refreshing feeling.

Steam inhalation- Breathing deeply and inhaling the steam from a bowl of hot water with essential oils for about a minute helps to benefit from aromatherapy.

Hot and cold compress- The essential oils are added to the hot water and a small towel or cotton fabric is soaked in it. The excess water is to be wrung out and applied on the affected area. After the treatment the affected area is covered with cling film and bandaged if required. The process is similar for cold, except icy cold water is used in place of hot water.

Room spray- Electric vaporizers or nebulizers creates the aromatic ambience in a room with the vaporization of the essential oils.

Light ring bulbs- The heat from the bulbs help it to diffuse the essential oils in the lamp rings and smoothly spread out in the rooms.

The essential oil use chart will surely help you in getting effective aromatherapy treatment, provided it contains pure and natural ingredients for the essential oils. There are many different ways essential oils are used in various products including scented candles, soap, shampoo, hair oil and more.
